Eric's Journal
Saturday, January 21st, 2006 - 2:17 PMTonite marks a new beginning for us. New format, new AMAZING lead guitarist (and that doesn't EVEN cover it), a I am now getting to put more focus into doing what I love MOST in music: Singing. Anyone coming to a Stealing Silance show and expecting to see/hear the same old thing is going to be disappointed. Mashed P gave us some incredible energy, but he has now decided to take another path. Him and I will always continue to be bros. We shared a very common bond through our music, and I expect that we'll work together on other projects in the future. I wish him all the best and hope he gets into something else he can feel passionate about SOON!! He's got a LOT of crazy musical energy to give. For now, I have become super amped about our new format. It is really coming together to something cooler than I have ever imagined. Come check out us out at a show soon to see the all new Stealing Silence We've gotalota good shows coming up. Until then rock on, SENTENCE to your MOTHER. Friday, October 28th, 2005 - 9:26 AMHALLOWEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNN is to being coming.. It is to being a fun time of year, yes? I am having hard time finding out what it is being all about, this crazy American holiday. I swear you guys are so nuts. Something about eating the candies and kidnapping kiddies, yes? We are to being playing a big Haloween show this weekend. We have special surprise in pants for everyone. You come to show, and you see BIG good surprise, yes? We see you there. -@ïrßð®Ñ£ ºñKë¥ Saturday, October 8th, 2005 - 3:58 AMSo one last show tonite guitarless for me it looks like. My hand is slowly but surely getting better and I hope to be back into the guitar action very soon. Can't wait to rock it at our Halloween show. For now, looking forward to rockin it tonite 311 style. I'll be the naked one with the huge snake wrapped around him. See you there... -@ïrßð®Ñ£ ºñKë¥ Wednesday, September 14th, 2005 - 1:03 PMHOW*Z IT HANGIN U GUYZZZ. So 101X fest was a freakin BLAST. We all had SUCH a great time, and got a ton of positive feedback. Was most def a night to remember. Even tho I couldn't play guitar, I had so much fun doing vocals, and shaking my cast at everyone. We got some BAD ASS pics too, esp of Mashed P. He was all done up in his oriental outfit and huge shades. I really got a big kick out of it all. So in the news recently, Hurricane Katrina really has shaken things up. I think every single person in the U.S. is really feeling for those people who just lost EVERYTHING. It has to be some crazy crazy times for them. With everyone doing their part to contribute to the effort, we were able to contribute $50 to local radio station KLBJ's fundraiser. They basically let bands pay bucks to have a song played on the radio. So it was def a Win Win situation - got to do what we could to help with the relief effort, and at the same time definitely didn't mind the radio play! So for now, keep shouting out your love to those poor folks, and we'll keep rockin'. I am heavily looking forward to getting my other hand back and being able to do much more with it (if ya know what I mean ;). Peace to all our homies... Sunday, August 28th, 2005 - 3:07 PMYOYOYO!!!!! I am FLAT OUT freakin AMPED about our 101X homegrown show. It will be the BOMB. I can't wait to jump around on that freakin stage and front our tunes to austin's biggest rock station. Even though my hand is still broken and in a cast, I have been really enjoying the opportunity to focus on my vocals. I'm working hard on what I love to do most, so I hope everyone can make it out and give me the opportunity to show my progress. It's going to be ON. Energy waves will come into sync this Wednesday. See you there. Come give me a kiss on the cheek and I'll know you've read this. Late --- *** Tuesday, July 26th, 2005 - 10:55 AMWhassup all my peoples?? The original @ïrßð®Ñ£ ºñKë¥ comin at ya. Well... in an amazingly swift mood I've managed to break a bone in my right hand and have a lovely blue cast on at the momment. SO for now, no guitar for me. But at least I can still sing! If you want to check out my handicapable arse, come out to our upcoming AIA acoustic show Thurs Aug 4th at Dirty Dog. Soon after that I should get my cast off and will be doing dome major prep for our 101X Homegrown show Aug 31st!!! We are super pumped about that.. So until then, peace out. |
